Kenyatta Hobson, an artist of conceptual ability, uses experiential and controlled methods to explore his passion for art. Much of his work features inanimate subjects—natural or human-made and a variety of landscape depictions. His inspiration comes from an innate ability to recognize patterns, contrast, harmony, and color while using art to resolve contemporary issues.
Fluid art and collage techniques are among Kenyatta’s favorite mixed-media endeavors. He studied studio art (Stillman College, BA), and political science (Howard University, MA) working much of his career in higher education. Hobson is the recipient of numerous awards including the Ann Huckabee Award for Art and has been featured in a solo and several group exhibitions.
